Your worth isn’t up for question.
One thing I never want you to forget is this: you are the main character of your own story. The pages of each of our lives are filled with different twists and turns—some overflowing with highs, others weighed down by lows—but every single page has shaped who we are today.
The only person who can ever truly understand you is, well… you. You’ve lived those experiences, both the beautiful and the painful. You’ve carried the lessons life has placed in front of you. You’ve felt the weight of moments you didn’t deserve, and somehow, you still found a way to move forward.
So I guess what I’m trying to say is this: because you are the one who has lived your life, the people who question your values, your morals, or the way you choose to live simply don’t get to define you. In fact, they don’t have the right to measure your worth at all.
What feels meaningful and fulfilling to me may look completely different to someone else. I love early nights in bed and quiet 4 A.M. mornings where I can meditate, study, and get to the gym. Small things—like a walk by the ocean or a quick coffee run to one of my favorite cafés (and if you know me, there are many)—bring me a sense of peace. Daily debriefs with my roommates or long, deep conversations with the people I love fill me with energy and leave me smiling. These moments mean everything to me, even if someone else might not understand them.
I value routine and discipline; they bring structure and joy into my life. But from the outside, someone might call that boring or try to question my worth simply because I’ve chosen a different path than theirs.
And that’s exactly the point.
You have to live this life for you. The opinions of others—truly, anyone—do not define you. Choose what makes you feel alive. Choose what brings meaning into your days, even if it doesn’t make sense to anyone else.
There’s a quote from the Bhagavad Gita that has always stayed with me: “It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else’s life with perfection.” It reminds us that authenticity matters more than perfection. That your path, even if it’s messy or uncertain, is still yours—and that alone makes it enough.
Every day, I need you to choose yourself. Choose your truth. Choose your happiness and your well-being. And yes, sometimes that means being a little selfish.
Because the world will always have people who judge, misunderstand, or question you. Whether you do good or bad, someone will always have something to say.
But don’t let the noise of the outside world ever reach the quiet place inside you where your worth lives.
Protect that space.
Hold onto it tightly.
And never, ever forget—you are worthy.
