A gentle reminder— For you and I.
Have you ever looked in the mirror and questioned everything about yourself — your worth, your dreams, your ability to make it in this world? I have—more times than I’d like to admit.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve definitely had moments of self-doubt. Moments where I think to myself, am I worth it? Do I deserve this? Can I even accomplish my dreams or goals?
Those thoughts can be loud, like a storm in your head that won’t quiet down. Sometimes they feel so real, like they’re the truth — even when they’re not.
But I’m here to tell you, and to remind myself too, that you are worth it.
So often, we spend time tearing ourselves down instead of building ourselves up. We become our own biggest critics, slowly chipping away at our confidence like waves hitting a rock over and over again.
I know I have moments where my voice tends to go quiet. I start to overthink. Thoughts like, “Am I smart enough? Am I pretty enough? Am I deserving?” pop into my head all the time.
And sometimes I believe them.
But I’m slowly realizing that those thoughts aren’t the truth — they’re just fear talking. Fear has a way of putting blindfolds on us, making it hard to see how strong, capable, and worthy we really are.
It’s easier said than done, but I think it’s time we stop letting doubt control us. It’s time we start having faith in ourselves. It’s time we start pouring the same love, patience, and encouragement we give to others into ourselves.
This may sound cheesy or corny — let’s be honest, when have I ever cared about any of that — but you really only get one life to live.
One life to dream.
One life to grow.
One life to take chances.
So go live it.
Chase the things that light up your heart, even when you’re scared. Take the leap even when your knees are shaking.
Believe in yourself instead of bringing yourself down.
Because you are worthy of being happy.
You are worthy of your dreams.
You are worthy of love.
You are worthy of everything your heart desires.
You’ve doubted yourself long enough — now it’s time to believe in the person you’re becoming.
