Feeling the overwhelm.
I think I may be overwhelmed. There are thousands of things running through my head—thoughts, worries, hopes, questions—all swirling around at once. It feels like I barely have the time or space to sit down and understand what I’m actually feeling.
Life tends to pass us by so quickly, barely giving us time to properly sit with our thoughts and emotions. I guess you could say that life moves so quickly that our emotions barely have time to keep up. There are times when I’m sitting, trying to focus on one thing, but I catch myself going through the motions while my inner world spins a little faster than I can manage.
It’s not dramatic or chaotic by any means. It’s just a quiet weight—a mental clutter of sorts—that makes it hard to breathe deeply.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to call this “thing” I’ve been going through. But naming it—calling it overwhelm—has been a moment of clarity for me.
Now, I’m writing this not because I have the answers, but because maybe someone out there is going through something similar. Maybe someone out there is feeling the overwhelm.
And if that someone is you—the reader—then just a few gentle reminders from me:
It’s okay to pause. It’s okay to slow down. It’s okay to rest.
Take a deep breath and remind yourself that your feelings are real, valid, and worthy of your attention.
Even when we don’t fully understand what we’re feeling—especially then—it’s enough to simply acknowledge that something is there.
You deserve to be at peace, even in the midst of the noise.
